QUALITY POLICYHIS Engineering Services Pty Ltd provides a commercially competitive and quality service to the heavy engineering industry, in both the mechanical and electrical disciplines, in the project management, design fabrication and erection fields.HIS Engineering Services Pty Ltd objective is to provide our clients with a dependable service that achieves agreed standards of quality, on time and within budget. Planning and management play a key role in our continued achievement of client satisfaction.To assist us to achieve our objectives we have implemented a concise quality system to AS/NZS/ISO 9001. The goal of our quality system is to provide a relevant mechanism for the conduct of our works at all levels of the company.The implementation of our quality system is complimented by our recognition of the increasing role that our employees play in the future of our company.HIS ENGINEERING PTY LTDTALBOT CARTERMANAGING DIRECTORREHABILITATION AND RETURN TO WORK POLICY1. COMMITMENTS OF HIS ENGINEERING SERVICES PTY LTD1.1 To prevent injury and illness by providing a safe and healthy working environment.1.2 To ensure that injury management activities commence as soon as possible after injury and every effort is made to provide suitable and meaningful duties consistent with the nature of the injury/illness after seeking appropriate medical judgement.1.3 To provide support throughout the rehabilitation process to minimise the effects of the injury and ensure that an early return to work is a normal practise and expectation.1.4 To provide suitable duties/employment for an injured employee as soon as is safely possible, as an integral part of the rehabilitation process.1.5 To consult with employees and where applicable any union representing them to that our Return to Work Program operates effectively.1.6 To ensure that participation in a Return to Work Program will not of itself prejudice an injured employee.2. PROCEDURES FOR ACTION WHEN INJURY OCCURSWhen an injury occurs2.1 It is the employee's responsibility to notify their Supervisor of an injury as soon as is practicable.2.2 Once an injury is notified HIS Engineering Services Pty Ltd will ensure that the injured person receives appropriate first aid and/or medical treatment as soon as possible and will conduct an investigation to prevent a recurrence.2.3 HIS Engineering Services Pty Ltd will notify their insurer of an "significant injury" within 48 hours of the above and within 7 days for any other type of injury.Follow up after injury2.4 The designated Return to Work Co-ordinator is Jamie Broderick, who will co-operate in developing and complying with an injury management plan for an injured worker. The Return to Work Co-ordinator will maintain a case file and protect the confidentiality of the information on this file.Finding meaningful duties2.5 When an injured employee is according to medical judgement, capable of returning to work an individual Return to Work Plan will be developed offering meaningful duties which will be identified after consultation with relevant parties and will be specified in writing. Appropriate assistance will be given to workers from non-English speaking background and to those permanently unable to return to pre-injury duties.Involving a rehabilitation provider2.6 The following accredited rehabilitation provider(s) are available to assist when required in the rehabilitation of those workplace employees who suffer a workplace injury or illness:AW WORKWISE AUSTRALIATelephone: 4948 5455Fax: 4948 5422Telephone: 1800 624 824SDA WORKPLACE HEALTHCARETelephone: 5174 6348Injured employees will however retain the right to nominate an accredited provider of their own choice.3.CONSULTATION3.1 Employees will be informed of their rights and responsibilities and of HIS Engineering Services Pty Ltd policies on rehabilitation. Such consultation will be effected through the management of HIS Engineering Services Pty Ltd.4.DISPUTES4.1 HIS Engineering Services Pty Ltd accepts the need to consult with employees and their representatives in relation to disputes and to contact the insurer, WorkCover, or an Injury Management Consultant.These policies and procedures will come in to effect as of the Seventeenth day of October, 2002, and will be reviewed subject to discussion and agreement with relevant parties.Talbot CarterManaging DirectorENVIRONMENTAL POLICYHIS Engineering Services Pty Ltd management, employees and contractors are committed to the following principals:1.
