Occupational Health and Safety PolicyThe Occupational Health and Safety of all persons employed within HIS ENGINEERING SERVICES Pty Ltd and those visiting the organisation is considered to be of the utmost importance. Executive Management will make available the required resources for developing and implementing policies and procedures with set objectives designed to deal with Workplace Health and Safety issues and by ensuring managers, supervisors and employees are aware of and have the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively carry out their responsibilities.Project and Local Managers are to undertake that Health, Safety and Rehabilitation responsibilities are met through constant monitoring of site performances and report back to Executive Mangement. Managers are required to guarantee that this policy and the OH and S program is effectively implemented in their areas of control and support is given to supervisory staff in the management of the systems and procedures introduced.Project and Local Managers are responsible for the Health and Safety of all Company employees and visitors on site and to make certain the principal Health and Safety requirements are met.Supervisors are responsible for the Health and Safety of their employees and will take the necessary action to correct any deficiencies found within the work area or if this is not possible refer the issue to the appropriate manager.Employees are responsible for following all Health and Safety directions, standard Operating Procedures and for working in such a manner that their actions ensure the Health and Safety of themselves and others within the workplace.Workplace Health and Safety is the responsibility of all Company employees and will be achieved through consultation and co-operation between Management, Supervisors and Employees. While management provides this commitment, it must be realised that to be fully effective, responsibility for safety is owned by all employees not just one person.
